2. Who can vote?

Artists/DJs , music makers, geeks, aficionados, lovers, laymen, fans, fossils, anybody and EVERYBODY can vote.

3. When do the 2011 polls close?

The poll for MyFavDJ 2011 will close on January 15, 2012

4. What is the voting process?

Anyone on Facebook will be given 3 votes which can be cast anytime during the voting period. You cannot vote for the same Artists/DJs twice so choose carefully!

5. Who can be nominated?

This year, we have also revamped and upgraded the voting and nomination processes. This ensures a stricter system, tighter scrutiny and a more balanced, fair assessment of all the nominees.

6. Awards

Once you´ve registered invite your fellow Artists/DJs and fans/visitors to vote for you in your category. The MyFavDJ.in Awards will be held at a venue in Mumbai.

1. I´m new to this scene. Can I still register as a Artists/DJs?

Of course! If you´ve got a fan base and a rocking playlist, MyFavDJ.in is the perfect platform for you. You´ve got as much of a chance as anyone else to win an award in your selected category.

2. How do I register on the website?

Click on Artists/DJs Signup and register your details. Red stars indicate mandatory sections so be sure to fill them in. While many of your fans/visitors might know you solely by your Username / Artists/DJs Title, we´ve also provided for those who would also like to add their first and last names to their profile. We would encourage that you use your real names here as it will help frauds attempting to steal your identity by using your name to create profiles.

Email address and Mobile numbers are for our records only and will not be shared on your profile page. Again, we´d like to encourage you to provide your real mobile number so that we can contact you if you make the shortlist.

3. I registered my account, but have not receievd my activation link?

Please check your Junk Mail / Spam Folder for the activation link email, if you do find it there be sure to mark the message as "Mark as SAFE" or "Not Spam" so that you can continue to recieve all communication directly to your inbox. If you want us to resend your activation link send a mail to: info@myfavdj.in

4. When does my profile get listed on the website?

Once you´ve verified your email address by clicking on the activation link we will send you an email with your login details. Log in and start building your profile with a brief description about yourself and then upload a your Profile Photo.

IMPORTANT : Your profile will only be listed on our website once you have entered your Press Profile and Uploaded a Profile photo.

5. How can I edit my Account Info?

You can edit your account information like your real name, your username, DJ/Live Set, Artist type (individual/group), group member names, city and mobile number. You can also hide your Real Name from your profile page, however we suggest you only do this if necessary as it does not give Search Engine Optimization (SEO) results for your profile. Unfortunately, your email address cannot be changed.

6. How do I upload my Profile Photo/Logo?

The process of uploading your picture is pretty standard. Click on Upload Profile Picture / Upload Profile Logo and select a picture you like. Be sure to edit your picture to a maximum of size of 600 x 600 pixels and under 500kb.

7. What is my Press Profile?

Your Press Profile helps fans/visitors learn more about who you really are. This text is also used in your auto generated Press Kit PDF Profile download file.

8. Can I add my Artist/DJ Rider?

Yes you can add your rider details by clicking on Edit Artist/DJ Rider. This text is also used in your auto generated DJ/Artist Rider PDF download file.

9. Can I list and promote my events on MyFavDJ.in?

Yes you can create your own personal event calendar by clicking on the Create Event link. We list all events from current date to next 30 days on the Gigs Page.

10. How can users connect with me?

Click on Edit Stay Connected on your profile and put in the links to your Personal Website, Music Label, Facebook, Twitter, SoundCloud, YouTube, MySpace and Blog accounts. This will help your users find and stay connected to you.

11. What is Top 10 Charts?

A Top 10 Chart is your list of your 10 favourite tracks which are made by you or another artist. You can keep editing this whenever you like. You can also add a file download link pointing to YouSendit, RapidShare, 4Shared, SendSpace, MediaFire etc. (Please make sure you are sharing your own mixes and not pirated music.) Remember, the Number 1 track in your Top 10 Chart will be featured in rotation with a preview of your profile on the Homepage of MyFavDJ.In.

12. What is Edit Twitter & Facebook IDs

If you use Twitter and have a Facebook Fan page you can show the activity on your profile page. To Show your tweets simply enter your Twitter username. To show Facebook Like Box on your profile please read the Setup Guide

13. What is You Tube Custom Player?

YouTube has a feature called Custom Player. This allows you to configure the player with your You Tube Uploads which could include your own videos as well as your favourite videos. To showcase your You Tube Custom Player please read the Setup Guide

14. What is Sound Cloud Custom Player?

Sound Cloud is exactly like You Tube but for audio only. Simply enter your SoundCloud username, click save and your SoundCloud player will be embedded on your profile.

15. What is a Easy Share URL?

Activating Easy Share URL enables you to access your profile page by typing http://www.myfavdj.in/yourname. You can also copy paste this URL on your Facebook Status, Wall or Tweets.

16. How can I promote my Profile?
    
    Promoting your profile is important if you want to accrue votes. Click on the Send this Profile to Friend button on your profile page to send your profile to 3 of your friends. You can also Share your profile on Facebook, Twitter and My Space etc. by clicking on the +Share button. In addition, you can also copy-paste the link to your profile page or Easy Share URL and send it to your friends via email and SMS.
    
    
17. How can Fans / Voters interact with me?

Your Fans / Voters can interact with you through the comments section on the bottom of your profile page.

Fans/Voters can also share your profile on Facebook, Twitter and My Space. They can also copy-paste your Easy Share URL and send it via email and SMS.

18. How do I invite Artists/DJs to register?

Click on the Invite button on top of the page right next to the search box.

19. What is Press Kit Logos?

We have added a feature where you can upload your Logo open files in the following formats PDF, PSD, CDR, AI, EPS, ZIP, RAR. Only registered users can download your Logos. You can even check the your profile stats which will tell you which logo is being downloaded the most.

20. What is Press Kit High Res Photos?

We have added a feature where you can upload THREE high resolution photos in the following formats JPG, TIFF. Only registered users can download your Photos. You can even check the your profile stats which will tell you which photo is being downloaded the most.

21. Do I have access to my profile Analytics?

Yes we show you analytics for all the content thats being viewed/downloaded on your profile page.
