About Reji

Reji Ravindran’s expedition into the vast spectrum of musical potentiality has been going on for more than a decade now. Born in Mumbai, Reji was bitten by the music bug during the mid-90s. By late 1998, he had learnt the art of mixing records from senior DJ, Jo Azaredo. A few years later, his DJing & turntablism skills earned him serious accolades from industry veterans when he became the regional DMC Champion of Pune (2000). Reji’s hunger for musical explorations took a giant leap the same year as he became the first ever Indian turntablist in a nu-age metal band called Scag (2000). In 2003, he also started one of India’s earliest hip-hop collective called ‘ítch’ (along with DJ Chandu & MC Bobcat from the band Bombay Bassment).
